These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and One Live ("One Live", "we",
"us"). They govern your use of the One Live Network
(sup.live.net.co), One Live Profile (me.live.net.co), One Live Places
(places.live.net.co), voice and video calls, One Live Sync, the One Live apps for Windows and
Windows Phone, the One Live Network widgets and related services (together, "the Service"). By accessing
or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
One Live is established in the European Union and the Service is operated from there. How we handle your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
The Service is offered as a beta experience. Features may change, be added or be removed at any time, and the Service may contain errors or be interrupted. We provide the Service on an "as is" and "as available" basis (see section 12).
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you are legally able to enter into these Terms.
You access the Service using a One Live ID (id.live.net.co). You are responsible for maintaining
the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Changes to your
core One Live ID credentials are made at One Live ID; changes you make within the Service apply only to the
One Live Network and participating services. Your username is owned by One Live ID: renaming it there
renames you here, changes the address of your Place, and may break links other people have to your old
name. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.

When using the Service you agree to comply with our Posts Guidelines, which form part of these Terms, and with all applicable laws. You must not:
You retain ownership of the content you create or upload ("Your Content"). You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the rights to share it.
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example resizing images), display and distribute Your Content solely to operate, provide and improve the Service and to make it available to the audience you choose (for example your network, or the public). This licence ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for copies retained as described in the Privacy Policy or already shared with others.
You are responsible for choosing the visibility of Your Content (private, network-only, public, or link-shared). Content you make public may be redistributed via public feeds.
Editing and edit history. You can edit your own posts and messages. The Service keeps the earlier versions and shows them to anyone who can see the post, or to the members of the conversation, until you delete the item. Deleting a post or message deletes its history too. Comments and group board posts cannot be edited; delete and re-post them instead.
Likes. Anyone who can see a post or comment can see how many people liked it. The names of the people who liked it are shown only to the author of that post or comment and to moderators.
Content in other people's spaces. Comments you leave on other members' posts, messages you send, and guestbook signatures you write on other members' Places can be removed by the owner of that post, conversation or Place, as well as by you and by moderators.
One Live Sync (sync.live.net.co) is part of the Service and is governed by these Terms, the
Privacy Policy and the Posts Guidelines; it has no separate terms. It lets you store files subject to a
per-member storage quota (10 MB per file and 10 MB in total unless the Service says otherwise), organise
them in folders, and share them.
Direct and group messages are private to the members of the conversation. Conversations can be end-to-end encrypted, in which case only the members' own devices can read them and we cannot recover a message you can no longer decrypt, for example because you lost or removed the device that held your key; you are responsible for keeping a copy of your key if you want to read encrypted conversations on another device. Other conversations are encrypted while stored but are not end-to-end encrypted. The Privacy Policy explains what each mode means and when we may access messages. If you report an end-to-end encrypted message, the text of that message as shown on your device is included in the report. You may only message people in your network, and members can block you.
Voice and video calls are offered on a best-effort basis. Whether you can be called is governed by your call settings and your blocks. Calls between modern browsers and apps travel directly between the two devices, which means the other participant's device can learn your network address; calls involving the Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 apps are relayed through our server. We never record calls, and you must not record a call without the other participant's consent where the law requires it. Calls have a maximum duration and may be ended by the Service for technical reasons. Calls are not a replacement for emergency services; you cannot reach emergency numbers through the Service.
Missed calls, and who called whom and when, are shown to the participants and kept as described in the Privacy Policy.
One Live Places lets you build a personal sub-site at <username>.places.live.net.co.
Everything in these Terms applies to a Place, including the Posts Guidelines. You control the visibility
of your Place. Custom style sheets must not be used to hide the One Live navigation, to impersonate
another site, or to load content from third-party hosts that the Service does not allow. Guestbook
signatures on a public Place also appear in the signer's What's new feed.
Browser and Windows push notifications are optional and off until you turn them on. Delivery depends on your browser vendor or Microsoft and is not guaranteed. The One Live apps for Windows, Windows Phone and other platforms use the same account and are subject to these Terms; the features available differ by platform (for example, Internet Explorer 11 cannot carry a call).
The Service can connect to third-party services, including One Live ID, One Live Music, Bluesky (AT Protocol) One Live Messenger and external RSS/Atom feeds. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and they are outside our control. If you connect Bluesky, actions you take through the Service (such as likes and replies) are published to Bluesky. If you use One Live Messenger, your direct messages and status are mirrored to your Messenger contacts.
The Service may display links to, and content from, external websites and services. We do not control and are not responsible for external content, and we cannot verify or guarantee its safety, accuracy or legality. When you follow an external link you may be shown a warning; you continue at your own risk.
To keep the Service safe we may review, moderate, restrict, remove or refuse content, and we may warn, suspend, restrict or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or the Posts Guidelines. Moderators may take actions such as removing content, resetting profile fields, or banning accounts; they can see the edit history of content and who liked it when handling a report. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service, in whole or in part, with reasonable notice where practicable. Where we remove your content or restrict your account we will tell you why, and you may appeal by writing to support@onelive.me.
Except for Your Content, nothing in these Terms grants you any right in the Service. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the Service except as permitted by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that content will be accurate or safe.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages and costs arising from Your Content or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by us.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version and change the "Last updated" date; where changes are material we will provide additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and of the member state in which One Live is established, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence. If you are a consumer in the EU you may bring proceedings in the courts of your own country, and you may use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
