One Live Network Posts Guidelines

1. About these guidelines

These Posts Guidelines describe what is and is not allowed on One Live Network. They apply to everything you share on the Service: posts, comments, group posts, direct and group messages, voice and video calls, profile information, status messages, your One Live Place (blog entries, lists, guestbook signatures, custom styles), uploaded files, and content you cross-post from connected services. They form part of the Terms of Use. By using One Live Network you agree to follow them.

2. The basics

• Be respectful. Treat other people the way you would want to be treated.
• Share what is yours, or what you have permission to share.
• Respect other people's privacy and choices.
• Follow the law that applies to you.

3. Content that is not allowed

Do not post, share, upload or send:

• Illegal content or content that promotes or facilitates illegal activity.
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexualisation of minors. This is strictly prohibited, will be removed, will result in an immediate ban, and will be reported to the relevant authorities.
• Hate speech that attacks or dehumanises people based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age.
• Harassment and bullying, including targeted abuse, threats, stalking, or encouraging others to harass someone.
• Violence and threats, including threats of harm, incitement to violence, or glorification of violent acts or perpetrators.
• Non-consensual or exploitative sexual content, including intimate images shared without consent.
• Self-harm content that promotes or encourages suicide, self-injury, or eating disorders.
• Private information about others ("doxxing"), such as home addresses, identity documents, or contact details, shared without permission.
• Impersonation of another person, organisation, or of One Live, or misleading claims of affiliation.
• Intellectual-property infringement, including posting content that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark.
• Spam and manipulation, including unsolicited bulk messages, repetitive content, engagement manipulation, and fake accounts.
• Malware, phishing and scams, including links or files designed to deceive, defraud, or compromise other users.

4. Links and external content

You are responsible for links you share. Do not post links to malicious, deceptive, or illegal content. One Live cannot verify or guarantee the safety or content of external websites, and other users may be shown a warning before they leave the Service. Sharing harmful links may result in removal and account action.

5. Files on One Live Sync

These guidelines apply to One Live Sync exactly as they apply to posts. Files you upload - whether kept private, shared, or attached to a post or message - must comply with them. Do not store or share unlawful or infringing files, malware, or content listed in section 3, even in a private folder. Remember that files you mark "public" appear on your profile and in your feed, that "link-shared" files can be opened by anyone with the link, and that thumbnails are generated for pictures you upload. Do not use Sync to host files for other websites or to get around the attachment rules of the Network.

5a. Messages and calls

• Do not use messages or calls to harass, threaten or intimidate anyone, and stop when someone asks you to. Repeated unwanted calls count as harassment even if each call is short.
• Do not record a call, or share screenshots of a private conversation, without the consent of everyone in it where the law requires consent. Never share intimate images from a conversation.
• Do not use group conversations or group calls to spam. Adding someone to a group they did not ask for, repeatedly, is spam.
• The people you message can report a message to moderators, who will see the message and its edit history. In an end-to-end encrypted conversation the reporter's device supplies the text of the reported message, so encryption does not put a message beyond these guidelines. Editing a message after sending it does not make the original disappear.

5b. Editing and edit history

You can edit your posts and messages to fix mistakes or add information. Earlier versions stay visible in the edit history to anyone who can see the post, or to the members of the conversation. Do not use edits to change what a post said after people have liked, commented on or replied to it in order to mislead readers about what they responded to, and do not edit content into something that would not have been allowed in the first place. Moderators review edited content the same way as new content.

5c. One Live Places

Everything on a Place - entries, lists, guestbook, custom styles - must follow these guidelines. Custom style sheets must not hide the One Live navigation, imitate another website or service, or load content from hosts the Service does not allow. Guestbook signatures you leave on other people's Places are your content, and the Place owner may remove them.

6. Connected services

When you cross-post to or interact with connected services such as Bluesky, you must also follow those services' rules. Content you publish to a third-party network through One Live is subject to that network's policies as well as these guidelines.

7. Privacy and consent

Only share content about other people that you have the right to share. Get consent before posting identifiable information, images, or private conversations involving others. Respect requests to remove content about someone.

8. Enforcement

If content breaks these guidelines, we may take one or more of the following actions, depending on the severity and context:

• remove or restrict the content;
• issue a warning;
• reset profile fields, remove a profile picture, or reset layout;
• temporarily restrict account features;
• suspend or permanently ban the account;
• report the matter to law-enforcement or other authorities where required or appropriate.

Serious violations, such as CSAM or credible threats of violence, may result in immediate removal, an immediate ban, and reporting, without prior warning.

9. Reporting problems

If you see content that breaks these guidelines, use the Report link next to the post, comment, message or profile, or write to support@onelive.me with a link and a short description. Reports are private: the person you report is not told who reported them. Reports are reviewed by our moderators. Do not retaliate against people who report content.

10. Appeals

If you believe a moderation action was made in error, you can request a review by contacting support@onelive.me within 7 days of the action. Include your account name and details of the action you are appealing.

11. Changes

We may update these guidelines from time to time. The current version is always available here, and the "Last updated" date shows when it last changed.
